SHAYKH SAID ATIF, PHD – IMAM

We are pleased to welcome Sh. Said Atif as our Imam. Sh. Said obtained Islamic education from Morocco. He obtained Bachelor and Master’s Degree in Shari’a and PhD is also in Shari’a. His area of specialization is ‘Ilm al-hadith (science of hadith).

SHAYKH OMAR HUSAIN – RELIGIOUS DIRECTOR

Born and raised in Southern California, Omar Husain attended the University of Illinois at Chicago, on a tennis scholarship, and graduated with a degree in Information Sciences. After graduating, he travelled to Toronto, Canada where he studied the Arabic language and began studying the Islamic sciences.

Mission/Vision

MCECC strives to please Allah SWT by establishing a Masjid that embodies Islamic ideals as derived from authentic interpretations of Quran/Sunnah and upholds its moral standards, becoming a model to those around it, contributing positively to its immediate congregation in particular and the greater society in general.
