ABOUT
Alif Academy was founded in August of 2022 as a part-time Quran and Islamic studies school to accommodate the needs of the growing Muslim population in San Antonio, Texas. Our primary focus is on Tawjeed and Tahfeedh, we offer two separate programs; Nadhira (recitation of the Quran with looking) and Hifdh (memorization of the Quran).
Correspondingly, the students are taught Tareekh (History), Akhlaaq & Adaab (Islamic etiquettes/morals), Prophetic Seerah & teachings, Fiqh (Islamic Jurisprudence), and Essential Duas. At our school, we emphasis on the importance of Islamic etiquette and Prophetic lifestyle through discipline and wisdom. we have students from different ethnicities and backgrounds who experience an Islamic atmosphere that is centered around pleasing Allah ﷻ and where Prophetic teachings are demonstrated by their teachers.

Mission Statement
We aim to provide an opportunity for all to study the sacred knowledge of our religion. Our mission is to instill the love for Quran and Sunnah through learning and practicing and to produce individuals who are proud of their Muslim identity. We strive to prepare our students to be living examples of Islamic teachings and lanterns of guidance for others. Our vision is to produce students and leaders who will cater to the rapidly growing Muslim population in the U.S. and be ambassadors of Islam, Insha’Allah.
Curriculum
The program is made to cater the needs of nearly all kids, it is designed to begin the journey for kids who don’t have any prior Quranic or Islamic education as well as to provide further education to those that have started this sacred journey of learning the book of Allah and the lifestyle of the Prophet (S.A.W). The program has three levels; Beginners, Intermediate, and Advance. Each student is placed into a corresponding group after a placement test. Students in the beginner’s level primary focus is on learning how to read with the correct pronunciation of the Arabic letters. Correspondingly, they are taught basic rules of Tajweed and essential Duas. They are also encouraged to memorize the last ten surahs.
Students in the intermediate level focus more on tajweed and reciting the Quran fluently along with Ahadith on Islamic Etiquette and Manners. They are required to complete the recitation of the Quran with looking (Nadhira) at least once before proceeding to the Advance level. The main goal for Students in the Advance level is the memorization of the Quran, students are taught to recite in a tone that fits their voice best. Concurrently, Students learn the Seerah of the Prophet (S.A.W) and Fiqh rulings on everyday matters.
Certification
After successfully completing each level, Students are awarded with certificates during the annual Graduation ceremony.
Students who complete the Memorization of the Quran are also awarded with Ijazah.
Schedule Timing
Classes At Alif Academy take place Monday-Wednesday from 6pm to 8pm for boys and girls between the ages 7-17.
